Sometimes you do not want to stop the whole campaign, but only pause the follow-up for one candidate. In that case, you pause the candidate directly. The campaign keeps running for all other candidates, while this person temporarily stops moving through the configured steps.
This is useful when you first want to check something, the timing does not feel right, or there is already contact outside the campaign.
Where to find it
Open the campaign and find the candidate in the campaign overview.
Through the three-dot menu next to the candidate, choose Pause campaigns. If you want the follow-up to continue later, use Resume campaigns.
When to pause one candidate
Use this option when the reason is specific to one candidate. For example, because information is still missing, you want to follow up manually first, or the candidate is already in conversation through another channel.
That prevents this person from automatically receiving another step while you still want to wait.
What happens
After pausing, only the further campaign execution for this candidate stops. The candidate remains visible in the campaign, but no new steps are executed for that person for the time being.
Other candidates in the same campaign remain active. If you want to interrupt the whole flow, do not pause one candidate, pause the campaign itself instead.
See pausing a candidate as a temporary stop at person level. Use it when you want to intervene briefly without disrupting the entire campaign.
